24 hour hackathon winner

 

In January of 2022 I participated in a 24 hour hackathon, TAMUhack with a team of three computer science students. Our project, Rekkme poses as a solution to the problem of losing track of things that are recommended to you. Rekkme is a social platform where users can share and store recommendations with friends as well as see what is trending across the globe. There is also a leaderboard aspect and point waging system for those wanting to access their competitive sides.

Given the time restraints of 24 hours and the environment, I am very proud of what my team and I were able to accomplish. I really enjoyed this experience because this was the first time that I was able to collaborate with developers and see my designs go beyond the prototyping stage. I strongly believe that my team's decision to bring on a designer helped our project stand out among the other 115 teams at this hackathon.
